The view of Archipelago of Empress Evgeniya in the light of morning sun. Archipelago of Empress Evgeniya is the chain of islands in the Bay of Peter the Great, in the Sea of Japan. The archipelago consists of five islands (Russian; Popov; Rikorda; Reinecke; Sheet), and the couple dozen smaller islets and rocks (kekur). The largest island is Russian island and constitutes two-thirds the total area of the archipelago. Administrativewise islands belong to the territory of Vladivostok city.
